So I ordered a refurbished dell. They charge me on 6/4/08 for ~780 and again on 6/6/08 for the same amount. I send them an email. I get a request for my bank statement. A bit perturbed that they would ask for that I call Dell, I get told that they have no record of double charging me and that someone called with a similiar event recently which they 3 wayed with their bank, but never got it resolved... So I figure I'll try to resolve it with the email guy. I send him a copy of my bank history. He looks at it and tells me it doesn't say I'm double charged... Apparently, the dell guy doesn't understand what a pending charge is or how to do simple subtraction throughout the history. Now, they're telling me I need to call my bank and stop the pending charge, which doesn't seem like the right thing to do in the situation to me.

I guess what everyone was saying about Dell sucking at service was right.. Their computers are pretty OK.
My friend's PSU blasted last time and they only consented to cover it for AS after like 10 emails

I did get it straightened out eventually. After I sent the rep my banking history, he still couldn't understand that I was double charged... Then after I explained to him what a pending charge was and the basics of subtraction on an available balance, he finally refunded my money.

So ex plain why Dell sucks again?
Also explain why you didn`t post that the problem was solved?

What they asked you to do is quite common place and had nothing to do with DELL sucking.
It actually was quite possible that you could have ordered 2 DELL units!

:)

Why do they suck? Lets see... It took 5x more emails than it should have to get resolved. Phone support was telling me to go through my bank to fix Dells mistake, which would have involved a lot of paper work and who knows what dell would have done once they saw I placed a stop payment when according to the phone rep there was no record of me being charged twice.

I didn't post that it was resolved because by the time it was resolved the post was long buried.

Really now? I ordered two but they only sent me one. Why didn't I think of that earlier; it explains everything.
