Haha I remember when I was a kid some marketing guy (I think it was someone we knew, actually) came in our house for a demonstration and stuff. I remember trying all the different knives to see how easily they could cut things like pieces of rope. I think my mom did end up buying a few and probably still has them. Did not realize they were that expensive though. 😵

Why wouldn't a pizza place use one of those big, curved sword-type cutters?

I'm just saying that in comparison to other pizza cutters and vegetable peelers I've used IN THE HOME, the cutco ones are great.

Well, since this thread got bumped, we didn't use those long cutters because almost all the pizzas are 17x25 party trays. Thus, the cutter we use is similar to one you could use in the home. Having cut millions of slices of pizza, I'd rank the cutco cutter pretty low.

I probably mentioned this earlier in the thread, but omgbbqwtf their shears cut through a penny??! Well, so do my cheap $1.99 school scissors. It amazes people mainly because they don't realiza how simple it is. A lot of product demonstrations take advantage of the fact that most people are amazed by this novel thing that they see, rather than consider, "gee, is this product really unique in this capability?"
