I bought this RAM for $220 which I thought was a rip off, but oh man I heard Corsair raised their prices a lot.

Its indeed a bad time to buy ram it seems...but with 2gb of DDR I'll be sticking with it for awhile.

right. Everyone bought ddr2-800 when c2d came out, posted their great oc results on the forums, then everyone else bought ddr2-800 and the RAM mfg's wised up and raised their prices for ridiculous profits. I say we boycott. Show 'em who's boss!

I missed the rebate on this RAM so it was $220 instead of $180, $220 is nothing compared to what they're charging now. Maybe it's good that I didn't wait for Core 2 Duo.

Prices in europe are even worse - I´ve just looked on my favourite eshop and DDR2 533MHz costs about 290$ 667MHz is 340$ and 800MHz is 400$ :|:(

RAM makers get sued to RAM price fixing...and prices go up. That makes sense.

I'm wondering if this is the reason ATI is releasing their new x1900xt with only 256mb of ram...the prices have just gone up to much.

I was almost regretting jumping in on the Core2Duo bandwagon when they first went on sale. The chip I bought has dropped $30 in a month.

Then I saw that I would have had to buy RAM that is now $60 more expensive in the same time period.. so I don't feel so bad anymore.
