Old news... (just ribbing ya ;))
Ever since I saw the screenshots a few months ago, I've been itching to play this. Forget Unreal 3 - I'm upgrading to play this baby :p

Yep, I've been following this game for about a year now. That's one reason I just built the System I did ;)

Bethesda's Elder Scrolls and I go way back, to "Arena", whenever that one came out, and Daggerfall, and of course, Morrowind. But if Oblivion demands some super duper graphics capabilities, somehow I've missed finding that out!

(In Edit: I've visited Bethesda's site, and nothing there gives me any reason to worry about any high-powered hardware requirements. I also see no release date predictions on the main site, and I tend to ignore the rumors on message forums for game companies. I'm *not* going to leap into any $300-and up VGA purchases any time soon!)

:D

I'm waiting on this one, too. I just hope my system plays it ok. I just got the x800xl this summer and it'll have to old me for a while.

Well, I don't know if it'll take a 7800GTX to run acceptably (probably not :p), but I'm taking a stab in the dark and say that it'll definitely need more than a 9800 Pro ;)
I'm having some trouble with the latest crop of games (HL2, D3, FC, BF2) as my lappy only has a crazily overclocked 9600 (414/225).

I dont know, I cant get into the graphics yet. I am hoping its just the 2d screenshot thing vs actual gameplay. Maybe if I was seeing that would not be so blah on it, well that and I have yet to really see any combat or spells.

Wait a second, this is the guys who made all those other kick ass games, nevermind it will rock :p

I played the whole series. Just reinstalled Morrowind, actually, to see what it looked like in widescreen. Pretty sweet once I forced aa/af. Oblivion looks awesome. Hope they correct some of the imbalances in Morrowind. It was a little too easy in that game to reach godmode. I did like using the editor to build myself a castle though :).

incredible. picking up objects, reminiscent of half life; fighting style, a nice upgrade from morrowind's; the graphics, simply incredible; real time rendering, even better; radiant AI, first of its kind and likely to set the bar for RPGs and Sims for years to come.

10/10
nice find on those clips
