WOW - Can you split off accounts?

Lets say I have a character that I want to put on its own account, does blizz have a way to split it off? Im sure its been asked but I can find crap on blizz's site or in the forums. Was hoping a fellow addict here would know off the top of their head.

huh? how is it cheap? from blizzards standpoint they are making 2x the money...

My guess is they don't do it because people can easily sell accounts by moving a character to another account once they've leveled a character.
