Wow - Buyer beware, I guess.

I've got the 370, and I like it, but I've used the 390, and the difference is substantial. I'd say it's at the top of the consumer-friendly BD player heap right now.

I'd be pretty pissed off by this, too.

I'd be filing a dispute with my cc company letting them know that I didn't receive the product I ordered. I don't care if the fine print states that they can replace it with a jelly bean, I'm pretty sure shenanigans like this wouldn't hold up once disputed.

Well, in this case they specifically listed the substitution they were (planning to make all along). In a limited sense, the only difference between the two players is wifi; not a big deal to most, probably.

In reality, the differences are a lot bigger.

They reserve the right to go out of business quickly for being such a crap e-tailer.

That's why I'll never buy anything off of lesser known etailers. Only Amazon, Newegg, Buy.com, and other reputables get my business.

Haha. Oh, I know you just paid for that Porsche but didn't you see the fine print? We reserve the right to give you a Corolla instead. That's ok if you don't like it. We have a return policy. You can pay 20% restocking. 20% of what you paid, obviously, which was the price of the Porsche.

What a terrible way to do business. Talk about deceptive & unethical. Damn...they're actually still in business? Hopefully they won't be for long.

I would contact my local Attorney General. Most love cases like this. It is nothing but good PR for them as they show they are working for "the little guy". Just look at all the consumer cases that the New York AG took on over the last few years.

I know for a fact, there is no way I would stand for that. I don't care i they have it in little black letters, I am getting what I ordered!!! Sorry I get upset at these types of situations... :)

Wouldn't there be some kind of law that would override their silly little terms? Just because they "withhold the right" doesn't mean they can, regardless of what they type on their website.

Yeah I would contact the states attorney and find out what the law is for that state . Anyone can write stuff on a paper or web site but they cannot enforce anything that would circumvent laws that already exist in the process, not even if you sign agreeing to it.

I learned that when I went against a company that said they were not liable for something they did because in their software it was listed on one of those pages where you have to click to proceed. They can put it in writing, that doesn't make it law.

Thats RIDICULOUS....

Could they just not mention in the fine print that says if you don't opt out we reserve the right to bill you twice or something like this? Or give a DVD player instead?!
