Got a lift from a guy at work last night and wow.. that car soaked up EVERY bump and the inside was really comfortable, almost like a sofa. I didn't even notice much body roll in turns unlike my parent's taurus which isn't even that comfortable. When I'm old I'll probably want a Buick or Lincoln ;) Now I know why taxi drivers buy american cars almost exclusively. When you're sitting in there 8 hours a day or more you want a comfy seat ;)

Lincoln Towncars are the bomb diggity.
Large American sedans are overlooked way too often.

my friend had a buick skylark custom. I hated it when I had to drive it.

My biggest petpeeve was the fact that when i went over a bump or a slight up and down thing on the freeway speed and it felt like I was on the sinking titanic. And then there were teh brakes, one hard push on them and you would feel you were osscilating in a rocking chair.....ugh!

otherwise that was a nice car.. very luxurious.. lots of room. We drove that car to hell and back and it still worked like a charm. His dad sold it earlier this year since he got a 2001 prelude.

It's no wonder they're nicknamed "living rooms on wheels." Buick's might be comfy, but I don't think most people under the age of 65 would want to be caught dead in one.

Which Buick model was it. I work for a company that supplies the seats for Park Avenues and LeSabres. Those Park Avenues seats are thick and very large. We have to ship them with special protective wraps in certain areas because they are so big that they just barely fit through the door opening when they are installed and the installers are always hitting the door frame and scratching them unless they have the protective wraps.

You have to drive the bigger cars differently, slow down earlier than you normaly would, ect. Once you get used to the boat like feel they are super nice.

Wow - I think that's about the sexiest Buick I've ever seen. Good for you. More pics? :)

Buick (GM really) had it right in the late 60's and early 70's, then again (lastly) w/ the Grand National.

Now and since then they have nothing I'd want to be seen driving.

Buick ...

One name comes to mind .... GRAND NATIONAL!

My grandparents are buick people, I'm 22, and I'd much rather drive a buick over any econobox type car or any small car. I like my 300M better though...

My brother recently purchased a 2002 Buick LeSabre Custom and its a nice ride. He wishes a turbocharger or supercharger would have been available to squeak-out another 40HP for passing but overall he's very pleased.

U mistake comfy with plush. I dont think a sofa is a desirable seat in a car. Car needs to have a firm ride and firm seats with good lateral support and not a sofa else u can probably handconnect all the pieces of ur spine after 8 hrs...

damn the trunks are long on those cars.
haha, I think there is a bit of illusion going on when you look at that pic, because the rear-end looks unusually long to me when I look at it, too. I've never felt that way before, I even owned an 87 RWD Cutlass Supreme which is the same car and dimensions (minus the badges and turbocharger).

My grandfather has a supercharged 1994 Buick Park Avenue Ultra....It's extremely comfy and nice riding. Fast too... (still not a V8 tho)

I'm 17 and I love my '89 Buick LeSabre.

I could get an 84 regal in good running condition free. I wonder if I could put something hot in it that would make it go. It would be sort of fun to have a sleeper.
