So we just got new auto soap dispensers in the bathrooms at work. Nifty little things, you hold your hand under them and PFFT shoots a little blobl of foamy soap on your hands.

Now I'm thinkin this is just the greatest thing since wheatbread. I've been wanting to redo my bathroom for a while and if I could set up an auto faucet and soap dispenser without breaking the bank....Hey, why not?

So I surf off to Sloan to see what they have since thats whats in the bathrooms at work.

Fantastic I think! A well laid out website to make navigation easy. What more can you ask for.

Sensor Faucets...Perfect! Just what I'm looking for. We use the Optima Lavatory at work, so we'll use that as a baseline. Model number....Model number...Ah! ETF-80, handily laid out at the bottom of the page. Very nice.

Now, whats this bad boy gonna set me back? Hmmm...Prices..... AH HA! Right off the navigation menu. We're making progress now!

Lets do Excel, because sometimes pdf's are slow opening. OK.....ETF80......ETF-80.....

HOLY CRAP! $600-$900 depending on what you get. Let alone the automatic soap dispenser!

That'd be 2 grand JUST FOR THE FAUCET AND SOAP DISPENSER to go automatic!

Man, I had no idea these auto gizmo's were this damned expensive!! :Q

Call your local plumbing supply wholesaler to see the real price. They will still be expensive though. Expect to get 25-30% off list price. All you will really need is a mech mixing valve for your house. The EBF-85 may be a better bet since it's battery powered. Or you can get the combo faucet/soap dispenser

Also look at some of these:

How would you regulate temperature with a digital sink as opposed to an analog sink?

For the Sloan in the OP it's with a mixing valve. Some have internal mixers you can program and some come with a level on the site for temp.
