apparently i did know something.

someone else told me the same story about how i know this big dark bad secret... lol.

anyway, to start at the beginning.

i was part of this really close-knit group built around diablo 2 (the game). many of the members got banned from the original forum, so we all kinda regrouped at this new forum run by this (apparently) lesbian chick (who had also gotten banned from the old forum).

i was bored, checking whois's for sites i go to, and i went accross hers... and it wasnt registered to a "Rachel" as she calls herself. it was registered to a "Nick". so...... i was wondering about this. 😛

i asked her about it once, she put on this weakass story about how he was a friend or something. i'm stupid, i was marginally convinced. anyway, fast forward about 2 months, i was talking to this friend i've had for about 2 years (long before i got banned from the old forums... and a nice person.. explaining to her why i'm not a mean person, etc, and she asks me about some secret i know about rachel. ( i aint got a clue what she's talking about... i think about it for a long while, and guess that it might be the whois, but that's only one source.

today, i got an email from that aussie girl that had another source of that rumor in it. so, i asked rachel about it, and she gave this sad crying routine, etc etc etc, she's not a she, she's a he. a nick. so since i found her(his) secret, he's leaving the forums to someone else, and changing all his contact info, etc etc etc whatever.

so the question i have now, do i reveal this information to the general populace of the community? i'm not even part of the community anymore, but i still talk to some of the people there. they still think she's a she.

so?

Unless you were all cybering with "her" does it matter? Maybe it's just me but I don't thing gender is real important on the intranetweb.com.

"she" was using "experiences" as attempted leverage in debates. doesnt really matter to me, but you think you know a person, etc...

Honestly, who cares. Anyone who cares about what gender a specific person is on an anonymous internet forum is, probably isn't mature enough to make a rational decision in the first place.

Me saying if I have a package down there or not on the internet is like saying "I have a Ferrari and if you give me $5,000 you can buy a plane ticket, fly down, and touch it." Noone with enough common sense and/or money is going to even care, much less respond.

It's all just image anyway. Unless there's a real sexual dynamic in effect, who cares?

You are a walking example of people who lie about their identities on the 'net. You seem to live vicariously through the 'net. Where's you mum? Are you a foster kid or something? 😱 Where's your dad? Why are they letting you do what you do? You're now 18, but you must have started this since you were underage. Now I really understand why you felt the need to lie about your identity and later come out confessing (provided you were honest there). You live vicariously through the 'net. Who the hell cares? Maybe if you had true friends and relationships in real life, you wouldn't be so involved in and with internet personas? Be any rubbish you want to be, just don't be a nuisance to the community you're in. A nuisance includes, but is not limited to, duping financially or harassing other members. My personal motto is, the internet forums and chats are most fun when you imagine them as settings of a story (or stories), where people choose whatever roles they want and relate it with their real life experiences. If any true love or true friendship stems from it, so be it. I call it luck.

One thing that gets on my last nerve is people bringing issues from one forum to another forum. I disassociate myself with forums that foster that kind of behaviour. If you have an issue with a forum, deal with it there. Be done. If you choose to share your story with another forum, fine . . . but do it as just a story you're sharing in humour or as an experience, not because you're about to drag other people into your petty gossip or disagreements that occurred elsewhere.

I would hate to see AT get any worse, becoming a nest for losers who must bring personal problems or gossips from other forums; or a nest for losers who must make up stories and make a big deal about their stories turned scandals. I'm in line with fictional stories, just a long as the author realises it's fiction and doesn't panic amidst his story.

P.S.: Let me tell you a perfect place for you on the internet: Chatrooms. Please go enjoy yourself there. There are many kids there, and lots of adults who just never matured. Now, excuse me as I leave for a festival. Hopefully by the time I'm back you won't have some rumour plastered on the wall about how I slept with my boss' hubby.
