I played Tribes more than any other computer game except Wasteland. T2 I played about an hour at most. :|

When I played T2 I couldn't believe they took everything about T1 that made it unique and a hit and trashed it in favor of Quake style gaming. T1 with versions of renegades or Isomniak mod's were a 3 hour daily staple for me for years. I really should install and play it again, I was going to host my own T1 server but I couldn't find a linux server for it.

i was a huge T1 fan, jump patch and all! T2 was a huge dissapointment, and i doubt they can match the original.

I didn't like any of the Renegade mods, they were too over the top. My favorite was Shifter_v1.

I soo cant wait for this game (screw hl2 and doom3). Seriously I always thought tribes was better than any quake or doom online. Halflife is close but I still like tribes more because of the team oriented play (the best players would get owned by a really great team in tribes and thats what I liked about it)

Gamespot has a fall 04 release date so I would think even if they delay it would be out by christmas time.

I never played the original Tribes, but I love Tribes 2. I might play the first one when they release it for free.
