wow, this is really a kick ass mobo. have there ever been any mobos that scored above 9.0 ? (on anandtech's scale)

Nice to see Iwill getting some attention... I have always found Iwill boards to be of extreme quality... finally now they're also on the cutting edge in terms of features.

Me eyes KK266 lovingly... hmmmmm 🙂

It sure looks like a winner, not only because Anand gave it 9.
My only problem now is... where can I get one. Living in Scandinavia.

Goddamn. Abit/Asus/Msi/Epox/Soltek/Gigabyte are all available.
Gimme Iwill!!!

Yep been burning it for 10 hours at 141FSB x 7 for a TBird 800. Rock stable so far even when I use to get problems on other boards at this speed.

yeah i dont think that you can lose by getting this board, it is tight from all the reviews and specs.. a def. winner

The Iwill KK266 is somewhat future proof as well as it uses a 3 phase power solution and (with a simple BIOS update) will probly be able to handle the upcoming Palomino CPUs. See the reason here. The Asus AV7-133 can't do that.

Also what Anand Tech fails to report is that the Iwill KK266 uses the A1 stepping of the KT133a chipset, which reportedly does the 133/266 FSB thing better than the A0 stepping that the KT133a Asus and Abit boards presently use.

That was a very interesting article, but I haven't had any experience with IWill products. Do they have good support (i.e. BIOS updates, etc)? I'm curious about there quality and support.

Wow Im basically having to follow this guy fixing his lies.

The Palomino statment is false, as is the A0 stepping. The only difference is A0 usually hits 150-154 FSB, A1 can usually hit 155-160.

Well i'm reading his statement also and all he says is "Also what Anand Tech fails to report is that the Iwill KK266 uses the A1 stepping of the KT133a chipset, which reportedly does the 133/266 FSB thing better than the A0 stepping that the KT133a Asus and Abit boards presently use" and he is correct, right?

I am going to say something that you guys will slam me later. I have the Iwill board and every now and then I get the cold boot problem - propably the cpu speeds a bit too high (my TBird can't hit 1000 stably but 987 OK). I have to switch the jumper back to 100-132 to get it to boot and fix.
Well I just finished setting the ASUS A7V133 on my B-in-law's box and a TBird 1000 (up to 1130 so far 8.5 x 133) - his system seems way more stabler/speedier than mine (even though he has 1130 I have 141FSB vs his 133) and I have to drool over his (Radeon AIW, DVD etc, SBLive 5.1 with DTT2500 5.1 speakers or something like that) - I believe I should have gotten the A7V 133 instead-very easy to o/clock no jumpers or anything. Sheesh Now why did I fall sucker to those dam$ reviews

Well it's nice to drool over your B-law system, but he does have the faster cpu. What type of memory does he have, and how much? What type of video card do you have? What operating system are you two using? There are lots of reasons why one whould be "stabler/speedier" than the other, but to truly compare the two you need to have the same system setup and comprable bios's(is that right, lol).

Regalk: Enable PMs! hehe, anyways, since i can't get a direct hold of you, i'll ask u in this thread and hope that u see it. In your experience with Micropro, did u ever have to pay canadian taxes, brokerage fees, or any other extra fees?

thanks for yur help
