i was hanging out for dual core, but a x2 3800+ is over 450 AUD, and a 165 is usually close to 500 AUD...

You can also just grab a single core now and wait until dual cores drop in price. Thats what I'm doing. I can't see myself paying the premium for a dual core cpu until software taking advantage of it becomes more commonplace.
