Wouldn't it make more sense for God to be a woman?

Think about it. Only a woman can give birth and create both men and women. God created both men and women -- so "He" must actually be a woman.

Also, think about the Garden of Eden story. The snake corrupted Eve. What does the snake represent? A man's penis!

Here's my theory. In the beginning, men changed the stories in the bible to make it look like men were created first and that it was all Eve's fault for getting us kicked out of Eden. But it was really us men that ruined everything!

Yeah, I agree... if there was/is a "God" it would make more sense to be a female. Of course she would have to be uber hot.

Then again if there is a all powerful being maybe it shouldn't have a gender...

how would she impregnate the virgin mary then?

Personally.. i think God is genderless, there is only ONE God... you need two to have genders,

therefore, no genders:)

very intersting point. however i would like to point out that under evangelical protestant belief, God is a triune God. the whole thing about trinity. God in three person.

anyhow. assuming that this is true, and since we have creditable amount of evidence that Jesus was a man, i would have to say that God is a male.

the more interesting point however is whether Jesus had a wife or not. it would not be so far fetched idea to think of Jesus as a husband. It does say in the bible that Jesus has fulfilled all commandments. if that is the case, it would mean that Jesus also fulfilled the very first; be fruitful & multiply.

since reproduction without marriage covenant would be considered as a breaking of a rule, it would naturally bring us to a theory that Jesus had a wife.

the fact that she was never mentioned is all together very possible. since women are very seldom mentioned. lots of 'important' (from our perspective) details are missing from Jesus, as we know nothing about Jesus between 13-30.

and if the evangelical belief of man and a woman becoming one stands to be true... than, it defuncts the whole argument of whether God is a woman or a man. assuming that he was married. :)

just something to chew on. but i do hope no one puts out their neck for this theory. :)

interesting theories... however, I like to think that Jesus was above the temptation of sexual drive. He was devine, therefore had no urges to have sex. thus didn't need a wife. But thats my personal view.

He did take human form and human urges probabaly came along with that package deal. no one really knows.
