Would you want to relive your childhood?

Say in the future there is a way for you to be able to go back and relive your childhood while retaining all of your current memories. Disregard the material aspect of it, such getting rich or trying to be a hero. Would you want to relive your childhood just for the sake of it?

considering that i've hated my entire life and am still a teen, i'd say no. my youth is technically supposed to be the best time of my life. even in college, i hate my life. :(

i said the exact same thing when i was your age, but now i realize it's so much about attitude and making what u want happen...if u say life sucks, it will...u have to seize the good things in life like family, love, faith, self-actualization, and whatever else u really want, u have to downplay the bad things, let things go

u can't hold on to the past or continue living in a negative state, because it'll become a way of life for u and you'll miss out on what could be. so many people are in that cycle...perhaps even me

I felt the same way till I sorta found myself. Identity, finding your place with friends and loved ones is what seems to be the most important part of life.

You're only unhappy till someone gives you a reason to smile.

this topic reminds me of that Twilight Zone movie where the old people at the old folks home are playing kick the can and then they turn into children...but none of them wish to stay as children, because they realize it's another lifetime they'd have to live through again, as the pains of it overshadowed the pleasures...all except for one of the children, who i suppose did in fact love life so much that he could and would live through it all again

oh yeah, i'm reliving it all right now... the altar... the priest... getting down on my knees and praying for forgiveness... the warm, salty holy water... those are days i'll never forget

i guarantee u its not my naiveness as a teen to hate my life. its much more then that. i hate my life not because of what it do. i hate my life because of the way my parents try to shape it up. my parents are unbelievably nuts. even all my relatives hate htem. i'm unhappy because i truly have nothing to be happy of. all my friends know how i am and they have no idea how i've been able to survive all these years. my friends think their lives suck when their g/f's break up with them. believe it or not, i actually long for what they unfortunately have.

I would love to relive my childhood and I would want to forget everything that comes with being an adult.

Childhood is the best time ever. When else can you stare at a tree, besides when on drugs, and just be amazed at how it grows. They grow to be giants over many many years. They grow every day, yet on a daily basis, nothing really changes, but after a month big changes can be seen. As a kid, things like this amazed me.

Or making forts i nhte fields just for fun.

Or playing backyard football without a care in the world.

Riding my bike down trails carved by ATVs.

I can't do this any more just becuase I have no time and work has sucked all the joy out of life.

Buddy, just keep on truckin. I (like many on this board I would assume, full of nerds and geeks and all :p) had less than ideal childhoods. You really just need to get out in the world and like someone said above, find yourself.

About your parents, fvck em. Seriously. Love them, but fvck em. Once you move out and go to college, things get much better. Trust me. Don't worry about the girls, either. Just make sure to put yourself in social situations, find yourself a good girl that you like (note: not sexually infatuated with, although that definitely works too), and grab your nuts and ask her if she wants to go see a movie or something. If she says no, then shrug your shoulders and move on.

Don't try and make too much of the bad things. Believe me, I dwelled in my problems for far too long and it gets you nowhere. Learn to love life, yourself, and leave the rest behind. We've all been there, and yeah it does it get better, but you got to want it to.

i have no problem getting a girl and etc. things in my life arent as simple as it seems when just posting it on atot. while i'd like to get a girl, i sadly try to hold back from pursuing one. not to be thickheaded, but i've had to deny my fair share of girls just to not let them get involved in my depressive little life, though i really liked some of them. what happens in my life goes far beyond having a sex life or w/e. dont expect to see me post in the forums again ever soon.

In a heartbeat. Had I known coming out would have been this easy, I wouldn't have waited so long ;)

Not to mention, growing up in Panama was one of the greatest times of my life, there is so much I look back on now that I wish I would have done.

My parents are pretty fvcked up. Fortunately I don't live with them anymore. :)

Maybe you will be able to get out of your current bad situation, someone in the near future. :)
