would you use usps more if it was free?

I would use them no more then I normally would if it cost nothing. it would help justify the amount of packages that get lost, often stolen by the employee of usps if they find something valuable. that's why you cant put cash in the envelope not that you are going to have any of it in the future. they are the most irresponsible next to ups. it is very difficult to claim refunds on lost package because its to discourage you from doing so. say item is worth 10.00 and you have to prove it too with receipts, cost 5.00 to ship. refund only 10.00 if you have insurance. WTF?

with all this much hassle, i rather just forget it. forms are difficult to fill out, done intentionally to turn you away. I had a carrier honking at me just because I was in front of my house just to get junk letter! thing like this just makes you ignore them completely. their not cheap for anything that weights more then a few lbs. since they are government funded with our taxes money, why should we even have to pay at all? is it greed? another form of extortion?

when i ship anything with usps, if it's lost I just forget it. i hate paying insurance that helps to inflate the cost even more. with postal parcel, or is it parcel post? lame... it took 3 weeks to go from KS to FL. that wouldn't had taken more 3-4 days with UPS/FedEx and cost even less.
The reason why they suck is that you can't just say it's worth 50 bucks even if you pay for 50 dollars worth of insurance, they will not pay if it's lost without proof period. This is the beauty of their scam.
also I do not appreciate their hostility toward anyone who disagree with their ways or strict ridiculous regulation that treats people like their criminals like if they ship blank tapes, cdr, dvdr as media mail to save.
Its INSANE.

Umm, going by your topic, I would use them either way. The USPS has never let me down before, so I have no reason to hate them (other than the fact that most government employees are slower than slugs).

Edit: I just read your horribly flawed (grammatically and logically) post. First of all, stealing mail called mail fraud, and it's not a petty offense. Second, when I shipped something to an ATOT member, the worker asked what was in the package, I told them "some cds". Guess what? I wasn't pressured into shipping media mail. Third, take some remedial English grammar classes.

I have been using USPS for 65 years and have never had a piece of mail lost or damaged.

I do, however, get a kick out of all the whining I see about it here . 😀

You should thank God that no one can sue you for being a complete moron.

Besides, what happens if this person's name was really "William Gates"? Ol' Bill can sue anyone with that name? Laughable. Besides, Billy has bigger fish to fry than someone posting on an internet message board under the alias "BillGates".
