I think it would depend on the field I was writing a resume for. Plus, if you were interested in a particular company, you might want to taylor the resume for a specific purpose (highlighting different sorts of achievements)
No. I wrote my own resume, then passed it around to some people that know how to make good resumes and got feedback. Just did a couple revisions and had a nice one.
There's many samples online and such you can find too for free.
I definitely would. For $150, you get a kickass resume written... and i've seen some of these that were professionally written in the newsgroup job listings.
Here's some advice... go into a newgroup job listing, and ask if anybody does resume writing. You'll get a cheaper price by the freelance ones (i'll ask to see their previous work first of course).
