Bought some CPU's from fleabay, made the assumption (yeah bad decision i know) that they'd at least be shipped correctly. The seller shipped them, came fine, packaged taped to a piece of cardboard...and packing peanuts all around them. and yeah, NO anti-static bag or anything, just packing tape holding them to a piece of cardboard that says Intel XEON on it, printed.

Camera is dead so no pics. But in any case, Is there any risk in frying my motherboard if i do try them out?
 
I would try it.

that's too bad... I got my 3200+ at amazing price and it was retail 🙂 and it o/cs like hell too 😀
