Would you trust this site to buy a CPU cooler?

I'm looking for the Thermalright HR-02 and contacted Thermalright via their official website asking where I could purchase this from.

The rep that responded back referred me to this site:
http://www.nansgaminggear.com/

Do I really need to say anything? If you actually click around, there are entire pages of the website that are empty without any content.

I responded back to Thermalright expressing my concern over the amateurish presentation of the site, and this is what he said:

"The site is only in the beginning stage, one week. It was in a rush and lots of things to improve, I know. But for sure you will get the product and the support you need, backed up by Thermalright."

On top of that, the price of the HR-02 on that site is also suspiciously low.

Unfortunately, Newegg does not carry this model. What am I to do?

Interesting, the HR-02 is not listed on that site, only the Macho version. I'm guessing the HR-02 was discontinuted and replaced with the cheaper Macho.

I see there's one listed on ebay for $60, brand new! :)

If Thermalright themselves recommend it, I don't see the problem.

True.

But I've gone through a credit card dispute before, and don't want to have to go through it again in case the site is a scam. In general I'd rather pay a little more and purchase something from a site I know has a good reputation than risk it from a lesser known site.

Also, even if it is legit, there's no telling how long the processing will take.

Good thing there are tons of great alternatives in the CPU cooling sector. I don't HAVE to have the HR-02 / HR-02 Macho.

I'm not really sure what the consensus street price is, but here's an alternate vendor:

Looks like NGG is listed on Thermalright's website as an authorized reseller in the US. It's probably legit, but I can't blame you for being cautious, the site looks very amateur. There are like two dozen other authorized resellers on their site that people have actually heard of and that have a good reputation, though, should probably just buy from one of them. If other stores don't have it in stock yet, they probably should soon. Most places just seem to be out of stock right now because the HR-02 was discontinued and the Macho version is in the process of replacing it.

its a new store.

Your going to be gambling in regards to a new store.

But new stores arent bad.... little vol. needed to move means they usually take care of you better.

Thats how typically it goes.... but its most definitely new because reseller raitings doesnt have anything for it.

Google "HR-02 Macho" under the shopping tab (safe search: off). Thermalright probably should've thought out the name a bit more. :D
