If by HDTV you mean the Sharp 40" or 44" LCD with 1920x1080p, then yes. Otherwise, no.

Yes I would but my decision would depend on the type of HDTV (brand, accessories, features, etc.) gotten or traded. :)

HELL NO, what on earth? I live in a tiny little shi77y rented room, which would never in the world have enough space, I Can barely squeeze my 4:3 21" CRT TV in there, never mind anything else (although I do have 3 TFTs, heh).

What's so good about them anyway? So you can watch High Definition TV, so it's bloody huge, who cares?

hmm the responses have certainly surprised me quite a bit. See I have a P4 2.8c rig with fairly nice components sans the graphics card and am looking at HDTV's and found some nice 30+" Samsung widescreen HD's for sale

hell no. I never watch tv or use gaming consoles, and I'm much too attached to my computer.

Sure. My PC sucks and I rarely play PC games, but I do play consoles, watch movies and between the wife and I we watch a reasoable amount of TV, but all we do with the PC is web surfing and word processing.

I'm using a Pentium2-333. Times are hard.

Would I trade for a bunch of more expensive equipment? Duh. ;)

If I had an expensive PC, no. My PC does work HDTV setups and 99% of HTPC's can't do.

That said, the HTPC case "Coolermaster Cavalier 2 or 4" are super cases that will house my MusicPC when I build it!

Negative. As much as I want a widescreen HDTV I'm not giving up my computer to get it. I get much more entertainment out of my PC.

Yes. Then I'd sell the console and my current TV and buy the same computer again, thus having a free HDTV.
