Would you take the blame and go to jail for someone..

Say someone really rich was convicted of a crime that would net him 2 years in jail, and was willing to pay a scapegoat to take the blame and take the sentence for him...how much money would you need to throw away two years of your life in jail?

I think for two years of my life instead of being a slave to corporate America or something making "peanuts" I could handle prison and all its implications in order to retire and live the rest of my life in comfort (and medical expenses as a result)..which to me would probably take about $8 million to do.

We talking white collar resort, or FPMITA prison?

Ahhh, very important question. Also because I'll be a convict after going to jail, I would need enough to retire so that I don't have to work my way back into society.

For 2 years, i would do it for 1 million. I was in prison for longer... so going back for 2 years, to be able to come back out with 1 million, i'll do it in a heartbeat... but i would ask for half the money first, and the other half when i came back out (and if i didn't get the other half... well, i know of a an empty well in the middle of nowhere).

will it be on my record? when employers ask 'have you ever been convicted...blah blah blah' do i have to answer yes? if so, i'd want around 50m. enough to guarantee i wont ever have to work again.

Jail is far from the end of the road for the most part. With a few exceptions, you can get back into mainstream society and nobody will ever care that you went to jail. Couple that with the 5-10mil minimum that I'd need to do it, and I wouldn't really care all that much. Smart investing and careful spending and I'd just hang out for the rest of my life somewhere nice.

It would have to be like 2 years at a minimum security prison for >$25 million.

Yeah, this would still be iffy for me. I probably wouldn't do it for any sum.

I could do two years for a minimum payment of a couple mil. The money would have to be wired to an account of my naming. I would join a gang and think about how I was making $3K a day to work out and watch cable TV.
