Would you support same-sex marriage in your state?

Absolutely not. Marriage is a sacred vow between a man and a woman. Homosexuals can not simply redefine something to suit them.

that's why they add the modifier "gay" or "same sex" they're not getting regular married, they're getting gay married.

So keep marriage to yourself, and make all couples, heterosexual and homosexual, get joined in a civil union, rather than a marriage. Leave the 'marriage' term to religious institutions.

I believe that two men being joined in a marriage would be just as sacred as the union between a man and woman. It's not about the gender of the couples -- it's the love and bond that holds them together.

03 Miata Sport Hmm...

Anyway, I would support gay marriage in my state.

I watched Hannity and Colmes last night, and some religious nut was on there saying how bad it was. Colmes OWNED the dude. He stuttered for like a minute before saying anything. Colmes said "Would you agree that marriage in heterosexual couples promotes monogomous and steady relationships?" "Yes" "Then why wouldn't homosexual marriages do the same?"

"uhhhhhhhh" [at least 30 sec. worth...] "It is just wrong."

I don't see what the big deal is. You really think it's going to change our nation much, if any?

I agree. Marriage is for those who believe the bond is sacred and honored in the eyes of God. What's wrong with civil unions? I don't thing they are thinking straight (no pun intended) they just see some disagreement and refuse to think logically. I could go on but those with ADD would get lost. 😉

I just want to see the opinion in ATOT. A spin-off of Massachusetts big turn out for same-sex marriage.
Who says people in Mass support same sex marriage? Just because the SJC said they could do it doesn't necessarily mean that a majority supports it.

...just something to think about. my opinion on this matter is moot.

Surprising...I can see the Berkeley Liberal Clueless Still Living With Mom and Dad majority haven't gotten here yet.

I don't care if you're gay; just don't let it effect my life. If you want to be a Rump Ranger in the privacy of your own home, fine.

However, when you try to force society to give you the same rights as a normal married couple, that's just wrong. There is no such thing as a "Gay Marriage." To be "married" implies people of two different sexes. "Fem" and "Butch" are not two different sexes.

I voted no in this poll and I vote "no" on election day too.

Side note: ever notice that gay rights anti-gun go hand-in-hand? I would shoot myself if I ever had to move to MA or CA.

Yep, it might make some of the more redneckish hicks in the state buggar off to missisisisisisissspi (that's my way of spelling it, since I don't know how).

if two women want to get married or two men want to adopt a couple kids that would otherwise be abandoned into the child welfare system, how does it affect your life?

Why, there are plenty of ignorant morons there just like yourself! You would be in good company.

why do you say that? when i look at the poll, it says that over 50% approve of gay marriages. so, what do you expect to happen when the "Berkeley Liberal Clueless Still Living With Mom and Dad majority" get here?? vote against gay marriages?

you don't make any sense.

The "big turn out" was referring to the big turn out of same-sex couples getting their civil unions.

I think he is saying that CA and the west coast for that matter is more liberal and tollerant of such unions than those of us on the east coast. I would tend to agree that the numbers will go in favor of same sex marriages if more from the west coast were voting.
