I dont know about you, but I think it is rather disrespectful to be anything other than reverent while at a cemetary. Afterall, this is someones final resting place.

If you really hated someone however, would you spit on their grave?

No. I'm not a child. If I hated someone, chances are I'd be forgetting about them as quickly as possible, not going to their grave just to obsess over something.

we care too much about what happens to a person once that person no longer is able to do anything other than rot

Yes, but what if you had forgotten about someone and then remembered something terrible they did to you decades ago and now you want revenge?

If I ever end up standing in front of my father's grave, I will spit and piss all over it.

No, I would spit on their children, much more satisfying.

well, the opportunity for revenge has passed now that the person is no longer alive to experience said revenge.

If I hated him enough to spit on his grave, I was probably the one that put him in it, and thus I would not want to spit and leave any DNA evidence behind.

I don't seek revenge. I've studied enough history and read enough books to know that revenge is the first step towards self-inflicted oblivion.

I have spit on Karl Marx's grave. Interestingly, his grave is immediately opposite Herbert Spencer's grave. That's nearly as amusing as it would have been to bury Marx next to Adam Smith.

Never do anything near a grave. When the zombies rise you don't want to be close and unprepared.

Not to mention, revenge can be obtained from beyond the grave. Beware.

Why would anyone spit on a grave without intending disrespect? Like if they needed to clear their throat or something?

But the body still remains (well if they weren't cremated)
