Would you spend $115 more to get an eVGA 680i that supports quad core overclocking?

I bought a 680i SE since I knew it supported quad core processors. Little did I know that it didn't support quad core overclocking! So now I have to decide whether I should RMA the board back to Newegg and get the 680i A1 board that supports full quad core overclocking and pay the extra $115. What do you guys think? My setup is already up and running BTW and the SE mobo uses the same BIOS as the highest model 680i.

I would keep what you have. Quad cores will run pretty warm overclocked, so unless you already have watercooling, I would leave it alone. I'm waiting for a 50 watt penryn quad core if Intel can deliver one, and that may require a p35 board. The 50w cpus should run significantly cooler.

Keep it until you decide to go with a quad. When (or if) that time comes, try out the quad on the board. See how it works. Remember by then there may have been a few BIOS revisions. If you determined that the board isn't meant for a quad, call eVGA and ask for advanced RMA. Tell them your quad core isn't overclocking anywhere you expected. Chances are they will swap it for a new revision.
