Would you run a business on a budget webhost like hostpc?

I'm wondering if anyone uses a budget webhost like hostpc/dreamhost etc to host an e-commerce website?

While I'm extremely happy with HostPC for personal sites, I have not much idea on what it takes to host "mission-critical" websites.. are these places good enough? They seem like a reliable bunch with awesome support, features and all that, but I'm not sure what else I should look for?

I've do have some idea on setting up SSL certs, shopping cart scripts, payment gateways and merchant accounts, but I'm not sure how much I will depend on my webhost to set up these things :)

We have many clients who still run their biz's on AOL addresses, it sickens me every day.

We host a number of "mission critical" sites including those of City Governments, banks, forums for Cincinitti Reds fan clubs, online stores, etc. Chances are, we can handle your ecommerce site, and continue to provide a high level of support as you continue to grow. Static IP's, server certs are no problem. Depending on the size of your site, or if it truly is "mission critical", we can also provide a dedicated server in our datacenter.

Hope that helps, good luck with your choices, and your online venture.
