Would you recommend an Iomega external USB CDRW?

Just wondering what you would think the best option to get for a newbie with a Dell Dimension 4100 desktop and Windows ME. (I won't be configuring this. It will be the owner who won't crack the case, so I want to recommend something as easy as possible.) I suggested an external USB Iomega CDRW. Any other options?

#1) Ease of use
#2) Support
#3) Cost

I have the iomega usb cd-rw. Works like a champ for me. It seems a little slow burning rw's, but thats about it.

they work good and are easy to move around or between machines. You can save money and be MUCH MUCH faster with an internal IDE burner though... USB is VERY slow

Well, slow only if you think 20 minutes is a long time. :)

For the average person, I am sure they could wait 20 minutes, especially if they are afraid of opening up their case.

OK Iomega USB it is.

He's not going to crack the case himself so internal would probably cost as much or more for him (since he'd have to pay somebody to install it).

if you look at most best buy or compusa ads, they seem to all advertise free installation...personally, I would rather go this route because I have heard there is some flakiness with usb burners...
