Your boss will likely look down on you more than him if you rat him out. At work my policy is to do my own job and get paid, let the rest be damned. People who get involved in office politics, especially when they drag me into it, really piss me off. Talking to the boss behind peoples backs like you are asking about is the one that gets me the most.

Why don't you be a man and ask him why he hasn't done anything all day long?

Well i'm not going to say anything, the only time i said something about another co-worker was when my supervisor asked me about it because he heard complaints from other workers about a certain person.

Yes i was taking a short break and now i'm on lunch. I taken like 15 phones calls this morning and he has taken none. He is also a newbie not even three months with the company and i can tell he is already looking for a way out. the past two mondays he called in sick when he was actually on job interviews.

Sounds like the problem will resolve itself then.

I always follow this rule at work: when in doubt, do the thing that involves the least talking.
