I'd buy it for $500, but is want it to integrate with my iPhone in ways that Apple would never allow.

Depends on the functionality, if it could give me a heads up display while doing woodworking with a virtual tape measure, square, protractor, level, and assist with geometry that would be awesome. These are the sorts of apps they need to make for this to be successful.

Imagine seeing the exact cuts needed to make a perfect isosceles triangle or other geometric shape without having to touch any tool but the saw.

Would be immensely handy in any sort of fabrication really.

No, I would pay a couple hundred for one that was indiscernible from real glasses, maybe even $500, but not $2800 for something that say creepy stalker all over them.

This. Someone needs to develop a "jammer" or some time to render them useless if they are within 30 feet from you. For "invasion of privacy" concerns. The Anti-Google Glass. ;)

Bwahaha T*ts & Glass. And they want to ban explicit material. Don't they know porn sells stuff like this?

Yeah, but they know that a boycott of Google services from the Christian conservative types out there isn't worth the hassle.

Besides, they can probably count on the porn industry to get their sites working properly in a mobile browser. The Apple App Store blocks porn as well, but there is no shortage of iPad optimized porn sites.

If they PAID ME that much, per month that I use it, maybe. Heck they should actually do this, pay people to wear those cam helmets and walk around trails and such, or mount the bigger one on their car. Community based street view. :p

Google Glass banned at Google's shareholder meeting. http://www.cnbc.com/id/100798068

Nonprofit organization Consumer Watchdog called Google executives hypocrites for the restrictions.

"Google has unleashed one of the most privacy invasive devices ever," John M. Simpson, privacy project director at Consumer Watchdog, said in a press release.

"Google Glass aids and abets people who want to invade our privacy by videoing or photographing us surreptitiously, but when it comes to their own privacy Google executives jealously guard it."

I hope every member of Consumer Watchdog dies a painful death (to then be uploaded to Ogrish for me to masturbate to in voyeuristic ecstasy) for their inability to make a logical argument.

this would be awesome to have. I don't know about $2800 worth of awesomeness, but it'd be pretty close.
