Yes, I would mind. Staying alive is very important to me. In fact, there are very few things I would not do in order to stay alive.

I would. For what feels like the first time in my life, everything's on track, or as on track as it can be. After sweating for years to get here, it'd be nice to enjoy it a while.

I wouldn't mind. I am in a decent place mentaly right now. I hope I don't die anytime soon and that my mind and body continue to get better.

I did read this thread because hotchic posted it. She is known for posting some good threads.

My wife is on a naval ship in the arabian sea right now.

I'd hate to die right now in the company of our daughter, not as a family.

I think you phrased the question wrong. Anyone who isn't really depressed probably would "mind" dying unexpectedly. In other words, no one wants to just drop dead tomorrow.

However, that said, I am in a place where I am content with my life, and I also feel that I have been extremely lucky to have experienced all the good stuff I have experienced over the last 24 years. Thus, if I were to die, I would mainly feel sorry for those that I love and who love me.

I phrased the question as I meant it. I wouldn't mind dying right now and I'm not depressed. I'm just neutral - I think the afterlife matches or outweighs life on earth, so that is a part of it.

I did - linuxboy. Why would that make a difference?

And the lurkers aren't really coming out, there's a bug that's logging regular members into unused accounts.

So, would you mind/fear dying right now? Don't make fun of my question if it doesn't make sense to you - it makes sense to me. :)

So are you saying that your life sucks, or its just kinda ok, or that you are super religious and want to go party with God, or that you've already accomplished everything in life you want to accomplish, or that you are currently at your peak, and since things can't possibly get any better you wouldn't mind dying?

I guess I could be considered super religious. Life definitely doesn't suck, and I wouldn't consider myself to be at my peak. I just... don't think I'd mind. It would be a little hard to be indignant about being dead once it happened, right? :)

I don't fancy I would mind. I want to go as quickly and painlessly as possible; but, once I'm dead, It doesn't really matter how long or short my life was.

It would be, but thats also why I've made the argument in the past that I don't want to die quick and painlessly. Once you are dead, you are dead, and its not like the mental anguish of how you died will be a real issue...

If my death was to take 30 mins and be extremely painful, what does it matter, since I will be dead in 30 mins....

If my death was short and painless, that seems like a boring way to end your physical existance (assuming you believe in a life after).

Anyway, despite being a stranger in a strange land, I'd still like to experience a few more things before death.
