Would you live next to a graveyard?

My friend was house shopping and found a FANTASTIC house but refused to buy it because it was right next to a graveyard.

I informed him that it would always be quiet and that you would never have neighbors there, so it would be ideal for myself.

What about you guys? Would you live next door to a graveyard?

Sure, I don't see why not. Unless of course it was an ancient Indian burial ground. I saw that movie. No way!

But do people do weird things at houses that are next to graveyards? You should be safe.

Sure would! Be alot nicer than tires singing on the freeway 1.2miles away at 4:30AM.

Plus think of all the free flowers you could get at night. Ahh! Fresh flowers in the house
everyday :D

I did for about 2.5 years and never saw a single zombie or satanic ritual...

Only downside I can think of is critters coming over to eat your landscaping. But if that's not a problem, having guaranteed quiet and open space on at least one side of your house sounds pretty good.

The dead people in my basement don't bother me so I don't see why not.

It would be pretty quiet, no problems. My gf on the other hand wouldn't like it.

Big turn off with the women, unless you are into the whole Goth thing, then it's perfect for you.

We looked at a house next to a graveyard. I liked it. My wife refused to have anything to do with it.

I wouldn't; Not because I'm scared of ghosts, but because I don't want to look at graves and be reminded of death every day.

cemetaries usually have big walls next to residential lots, so no problem other than huge wall.

I live about a quarter of a mile away from one. I guess it isn't right next to it, but it is at the entrance to my long driveway. The only problem I have is that sometimes when I am coming in around midnight or later you see a lot of cars drive up in there. A lot of kids party there.

i wouldn't care, the only thing i would be worried about would be resale value of them home.

I wouldn't have any paranormal concerns, but I've read that the decomposing tissue can let off a lot of methane, which can be a potential (though probably very remote) fire hazard. It would also have to pass the smell test.

I voted no. It'd be kinda creepy. Side note: cemetaries should be outlawed...what a waste of space.
