.....it is more than likely going to end up on the floor somewhere during the course of the evening.

This is the part that everyone who's "offended" forgets.

That's the part that everyone who's "offended" knows and wishes to prevent.

Maybe they should castrate teenage boys and men, then she can wear what she pleases. They should keep their willy zipped up until they're ready to be responsible adults first, and not push baby on grandma to raise, or renege on child support because that AMD gaming rig is more important.

Sex has responsibilities, and those "offended" understand them and don't want their daughters/neices/granddaughters "knocked up" by some hormonely charged boy that's rarely mature enough to be a father.

it's not like females are just objects subjected to the whim of males... if you're so worried about your daughter or whatever getting knocked up, why don't you go educate her about pregnancy and birth control.

When I click on the link I see a pair of denim jeans! But I think I know the dress you are talking about... I saw it in a magazine at the checkout line. NO WAY would either of my daughter's go out in that! But.... I would consider wearing it myself - if I had a place to go where that sort of dress was appropriate!

The dress is linked over and over in different shots through the thread. Different links from the original. And if you scroll down in the original link you can see the archived article.

I would not because of the price. She would be trying to declare her elitist attitude with something like that. $495?!?! No way Jose. Of course, I understand thats hardly special in New York.

The sexual issue is not even an issue. By the time they get to prom, most girls have a pretty healthy start on their sexual being. The dress does not make her anymore likely to open new doors on the infamous "Prom Night".

I also wouldnt be doing her any favors by pissing off the school board or faculty.

And since everyone else mentioned it: The dress really isnt that great, just slutty.
Madonna and Sharon Stone can expose just as much, and still be in good taste.
Then again, they have millions to spend on a dress.

hell no, and I'm sure that after the notice the Post article got, there will be more than a few schools who clearly outline the type of garb that is acceptable at school sponsored events such as the prom.

Hell ya I would let your daughter wear it. Now if it was my nieces or something, they would get knocked upside the head and grounded forever.

hahah.

First off, there is nothing wrong with teenagers having sex. Believe it or not, they generally DO take the necessary precautions. Of course there are risks, but those risks are very minimal if you take the precautions.

Also, yea, its ALL the guys fault. Sure, guys are generally the aggressors...but thats because thats how our society is geared. I've gotten to know(as friends you pervs) way too many horny sorority girls for you to try to tell me that girls don't want it just as bad.

or raise her to keep her legs closed until she is old enough and mature enough to handle the responsibility and consequences.
