Would you keep a Damaged Vid Card?

Bought a 1900 CF from Zipzoomfly. It came in with the exit grills all bent outta shape and twisted upwards.

Its in my PC and it works and I'm getting perfect FPS...

Should I keep it or send it back?

If you paid full price, you should expect new and in perfect condition hardware. If you got it open box/refurb/scratch and dent for a discount, then I would say keep it as is.

Was this open-box or supposed to be new?

send an email to Zip, especially if it was new - a card shouldn't be messed up like that if you ordered new. If you're lucky, Zip will compensate you with something complimentary. I have a feeling the product was Open Box, though, and in that case, you don't have too much of a complaint.

In any case, it really shouldn't matter too much, unless the damage impedes air flow.

I don't think ZZF sells open box, but I could be wrong.

I've heard their RMA process is horrible, let us know how that goes.

I think that you should ask yourself if it's worth it.

As long as it worked, the RMA probably wouldn't be worth it since can't you just bend the fins back?

A little while back I bought a vf-700 from newegg, the fins were all bent (a few at least) so I decided to just bend them back my self. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but good enough for me 🙂
