Would you have bought a George Forman Grill if it had been called something else?

The guy just seemed so jolly with the burgers and it was pretty cheap so I caved years ago:eek: I am not sure if I would have cared if I hadn't seen the sign. I still have the same one I got years ago. The teflon has been peeling for months now so I should probably get a new one:eek:

God Bless you George and all those guys you beat the sh!t out of:sun:

Probably not now that I think about it. It's the only time that a celebrity endorsement has ever genuinely worked on me. I just like the guy so much I'd probably buy anything with his name on it.

Well if it was called the "Mouhammed Ali Grill" I'd be worried about my food flying out of it.

Basically. He's like a nice grandpa.... except a heavyweight.

Now that I think of it I'm a Ramen connoisseur and odds are that I would never have bit on this one.

<--making grilled cheese right now:evil:

I would've felt bad for the families of the marketing department as well.... still, it might have gone somewhere.

I don't give a crap what it's called. If it works, it works. The Foreman grills, however, don't do very well with large pieces of meat (like macaque).

They work pretty well for things like hotdogs, hamburger patties, thin meat cuts, etc.

I didn't even know who he was when I got it. Other than the Meineke guy and I didn't even think of the commercials.

Ditch them both and buy a skillet?

Yeah, he's got that kind of personality that you just naturally like, even if he is a little weird naming his children George Jr, George III, George IV, George V, George VI, Georgetta and Georgia.

Yes, I'd have still bought it - it's one of my favorite cooking devices.

Wasn't Hulk Hogan gonna get the grill but got a blender instead? I remember hearing that somewhere...

Yes, if it had been called "The Inflatable Slut Kit - Sisters Edition" I might have bought one.
