I'm sorry but having likes and dislikes is not being cruel. Whether I agree with these guys or not doesn't matter but it isn't fair for you to call them cruel for not being attracted to "fat girls". While they might come off rather crass and insensitive here where they are anonymous I highly doubt most or any of them would be cruel to a girl in person over her weight. I personally am not attracted to larger women myself but I would never consider myself cruel. I have slept with some larger women from time to time, mostly because I was free and everyone needs some loving now and then, but I was always up front with them about not being intereested in a relationship.

nobody was talking about going against your preferences.. bragging about spitting on women or telling them off in public restaurants because they don't meet your standards is cruel though.

it all depends on how skinny. i'm not a small guy myself so i'm not extremely picky. i don't like a girl that i feel like i'm going to break by holding her. my gf is the smallest girl i've ever dated, she's 5'0" and 110 lbs. but she's strong so i don't feel like i'll break her.

Most of you guys seem to rule out both "skinny" and "fat" girls. Sorry to tell you, this is probably most of the population of females. The majority of you, unless you're flexible with your standards, sound like you'll wind up alone.

I should note that I'm not ragging on anyone for their preferences. Naturally, most people want someone as physically attractive to them as possible. I think the original thread was asking, would you choose NOT to date someone you were otherwise attracted to if they were fat.

This is true, and in fact I'd argue that most people are flexible at least to some extent with their standards, because otherwise there'd be a lot fewer truly repulsive people in this world. This doesn't just apply to men; women also have physical standards.. How many of you women would even consider dating a really short guy, for example?
