Would you guys be interested in donating directly to the cause?

My dad isn't going to donate to a company online or anything for the tsunami, instead, he's going to send the money to my grandmother who is in India and have her donate it directly to some place she knows where the money will be used for this effort.

If enough of AT is interested in this, post here, and I'll discuss it with my dad. What we could do is setup paypal donations and have money donated directly that way. Then, every few days, evert week, etc, we could post scans of some sort of receipt.

I'm just posting this to get an idea of the interest, so don't count on anything yet. I just know that there is probably some company out there trying to get profit out of this situation from the donations even if their origional cause was to help out.

Anything such as that is a good thing.

As others have said, make it quick. I've already given 1/7 of my entire fortune (LOL) and really can;t afford to give much more without being short for books. many peopel are probably in a similar situation.
