Would you get Corsair XMS or Kingston HyperX memory?

I am getting a new system, with an abit NF7-s v2.0, amd barton 2500+ and 512mb ddr ram, and am undecided on which to get, kingston seems a bit cheaper and comes with a free 16mb usb drive and free shipping, but will I be sacrificing speed over the corsair xms 3200LL(low latency) ?

nope you wont be sacrificing any speed from xms 3200LL (LL stuff is a big waste of $ imo). UNLESS, you fear running your DDR mem at 2.8 V. all high quality RAM is very similar perf wise if you crank the vdimm voltage to 2.8. xms might be a LITTLE better than hyperx, i had my pc3200 hyperx running at 6-2-3-2 (not sure which one was 3, think it was cas-ras), but i've seen some people run XMS 3200 at 6-2-2-2

I've had multiple bad experiences with Kingston. All of them relating to memory not working at advertised speeds..

If you got the extra dough, go with Corsair.

I just bought the kingston hyperx 434 mhz pc3500 stuff because I thought it was a good deal and would advise you to stay away.

Its advertised as CL2 ram which it is..

only to 400 mhz.

From 400 up to 412 its cas 2.5 and above that its cas 3.

This is NOT CL2 pc3500 ram as advertised. Its CL2.5 PC3500 ram.

I'd go corsair any day!
