Lotus is one of my personal favorite cars. I'd own one over about anything else, except it would be a HELL of a toss up between a Lotus and a Jag XKR.
I've heard on the rumor mill however Lotus isnt the most reliable car to buy however, but I put very little weight in those opinions.

My friend had a lotus espirit S4s, ~40k miles, he said it was completely trouble free. He got rid of it though because people kept keying it.

He later decided if he wanted a fast, good handling car for cheap, he'd just get a turbo/motor swap civic. :Q

quite sad about the first part... about how it kept getting keyed. 🙁

i dunno what to say about the civic part. 😕

People who have no hope of ever owning that kind of car become very envious when they see something like that.

As for the civic thing, he says the concept is basically the same, take a very light, 4 cylinder car and turbo the f*ck out of it. Built up, turbo VTEC integra motors do put out like 300 hp.

true... with less style of course. 😀 and that civic will probably get keyed just as much around Los Angeles...
