The war in Iraq has always been about control over the region against the Taliban/Al Quaeda. AQ had no qualms about bragging that they were leaving Afghanistan and headed to take over Iraq for strategic command of the region from which to launch more attacks against the free world.

Your liberal blindly-anti-bush media is to thank for perverting and hiding the story.

You're joking, right?

I thought the war in Iraq was about WMDs. No wait, I thought the war in Iraq was about liberating the Iraqi people from a cruel dictator. No wait, I thought the war in Iraq was about creating a shining beacon of democracy in the Middle East.

You do realize that all those goals are basically the same thing, right?

You suck terribly at quoting, go fix your quotes!

I'm not a US citizen, so I probably wouldn't ... since I have no say in how this country is run, I'll let you fight your wars. Also there's no way you'd drag me into manufactured conflicts such as iraq. Fighting for my fredom? Please, save that for the feeble minded.

I would indeed fight, so as long as I can kill people who can't defend themselves properly, like what's currently going on in Iraq.

To clear up my line about "not fighting a retarded fight like Iraq": I wouldn't run because I was afraid. Far from it. I just wouldn't want to take part in something so inconceivably stupid. I'm no war protester, but I sure as hell don't condone it.

IMO the only reason for war is to defend yourself. Helping some third world country that is little use to us (we don't need their oil as bad as people think) is a gross waste of money. Like I said, though, something like WW2 I'd be on the front lines. You don't attack my homeland and not get shot in the face for it.

😕

Though I don't think it would be, if my number were to be called, I would despite the probable objections from both my father and father-in-law in (both of whom served in Vietnam) in the case of something like our current war in Iraq. If there were a higher cause (WWII-esq) then I'd probably skip all that and sign up.
