Would you feel obligated...?

If you were shopping in a store and broke something, would you feel obligated to pay for what you broke and/or clean it up or would you say WhoTF cares and move on with your life?

Depends. If it was mostly my fault, yes, I'd insist on paying. If it was an accident waiting to happen, then no.

I work in the mall, at a little game store (old school stuff, board/card games). I have to watch the brain teasers like none other or people will start trying to force them apart. It pisses me off to no end, because THEY FVCKIN KNOW BETTER.

In short, I'd man up and pay for it, but the chances of me actually breaking something in a store are slim to nill.

The official rule is that the seller is responsible for his shop and anything you break. Rules such as "YOU BREAK IT YOU BUY IT" are largely against the law. That said, depending on the situation, I would probably pay for it.

I pay for stuff I break in stores.

The cashiers look at me puzzled for a second and I have to insist on paying for it.

I also ask for a mop or paper towels if it is liquid such as pasta sauce.
They always refuse and get someone elae to clean it up.

The stuff in a store is owned by someone or some people, it doesnt matter to me if they are rich or poor, it belongs to them.

I dont want someone in my house breaking my stuff.

This is just how I do things, how other people do is their business.

🙂
