Yeah I had to go there after reading the "Would you eat a dog or pet to survive" thread.

Like it says: Would you eat human flesh to survive?

One condition is you do not have to kill anyone as they died of a accident/disaster/situation/natural causes and someone just dragged them to a meat locker/out in the freezing cold so they would not decompose and could be buried later. Yet turns out rescue was like thirty days later and you would join the dead after dieing from hunger if you didn't chow.

Additional factor: You have wife/husband/kid waiting for you or a pregnant wife back home that needs you. (or not)

Enjoy the moral dilemma!D:

Edit: A situation like this happened and there is a movie and books about it.

Who knows. Right now I would say hell no.

But if I haven't eaten for months, that might change.

Sure. How about this one?

Your wife and kids were stranded with you. Your wife succumbed to injuries and rescue was weeks away. Would you feed your wife to your kids to keep them alive?

I would eat them without a second thought. Things would be different if i had to kill the person before eating them though.

Same answer I gave in the other thread... Nothing wrong with eating human flesh, as long as I dont know the person, but if its someone close to me? I doubt it

OMGD:

I am not a dad but from what I know of good dad's (and moms) they would do anything to save the kids. The deceased wife would probably want that to happen so the kids could live beyond her.

In a desperate survival situation, sure. For long term survival, I'd start transitioning to vegetarianism.

Medium-rare. Baked potato, sour cream. Sauteed mushroom and onions.

Wait, are we in the Andes?

Basic survival skills & common sense should prevent you from putting yourself in a position where your only option to survive is to eat human flesh. My answer is no.
