What the shit is ham salad? Because I'd definitely eat that. Not from Wal-Mart though, that just sounds like a big bowl of hepatitis waiting to happen.

I'm not a fan of "salads". They're bacteria farms, and have to be handled with extreme care. I don't trust most stores to handle them with extreme care. I also don't like mayo much.

I eat it a lot. I find that deli versions "over pickle" it though. I like to mix it with onions and cheese.

rough chopped ham (a few quick pulses in the food processor) + chopped up pickles, eggs, onion, etc. + mustard and/or mayo to taste and consistency (loose is better than goo, imho) on slightly toasted wheat with lettuce and tomato

first time I hear about it, I looked on google image, yuck!
I don't love mayo, but I like it on white rice while I'm eating a main dish featuring fish. Mixing it with ham just seems excessive.

When I was a kid, it was pretty much my favorite sandwich, on white bread. Always home made though.

"eating ham salad" sounds like something that would have a NSFW definition on Urbandictionary.

That's the name, but like the Easter bunny and its hiding of its eggs, the name doesn't correlate to the actual item.

Yeah, really good on Hawaiian rolls. I prefer tuna and chicken salad though. Usually is what I do if I have lots of leftovers of a certain meat and am tired of it "plain". I have never bought it already made before, unless you count this:
