would you drop out of college to take a job at an upstart company?

yes. I take risks. Just don't get yourself in to deep, so you could return to college if this fails.

I dunno if a poll is needed.

Maybe a poll to determine if a poll is needed?

yes... I never regret doing things or taking risks, only not doing them or not risking it.

Start ups are a dime a dozen and the probability is it won't go anywhere. I'd finish school. It's easier to finish while you've got the momentum. It's harder to go back when you have a job, a family, a house, responsibilities, etc.

Of course if it takes off you'll be kicking yourself, but I never look back.

No. The odds of that being 'the opportunity that you regret passing by' are probably 1 in billion. The odds that you'll regret not finishing college: pretty high.

hell no...remember silicon valley...sure...the few got rich...but the many were left behind. Most of the time, they will fail.

depends on your situation. Would you have to drop out during the semester? Do you have scholarships that would end?

Does the startup have solid management or just a "world-changing new-paradigm idea that will revolutionize how (something is done)!" ?

A successful startup needs good business practices as much as or more than it needs exciting new widgets.
