Would you deal with somebody from Guam?

I have a guy who wants to buy a camera from but wants it shipped to Guam of all places. If I ship it USPS, do I have the same postal rights as if I shipped it to someone in the US?

Is it too big of a risk to ship it?

If I remember correctly, Guam is a US Protectorate, making the laws pretty much the same, and shipping costs the same through USPS.

It would only cost around $12 for a 5 pound package. Insurance was a little more but nothing different than the normal rates. Also, only a 3 day transit time. Not bad for half way around the world.

I've sold a few things to Guam with no problems.. But like anywhere else be careful and use common sense. If it seems fishy don't bother..

Keep in mind that Guam is territory of USA and they follow US laws. I was stationed in Agana, Guam for over three years and their laws/regulations are very similar to mainland.

I wouldnt do it. Someone from Guam probably talked to someone who knew someone who thought they saw a terrorist. Be patriotic. Don't deal with that axis of evil. :p

It shouldn't, and that is why I posted the above absurd response.

If he can get you payment in a garuanteed form (M.O., wire transfer, etc.) then there should be no problem. If the item is expensive $100+, then FedEx it to him, the USPS shipment will eventually be placed into whatever post office Guam has, and who knows what they do w/ packages from the U.S.???

I don't know about fedex but ups wanted $83 to ship it to Guam.

Edit: fedex is $103.
