would you date someone that had the same name as your ex?

Why not, the name doesnt make the girl. Plus, you're already used to her name, so you would never get caught blurting out the name of your ex.

Yeah why not? You should be more concerned about their personality then their name...unlikes it's like Harry or something, then I might begin to wonder

haha thats funny cause the last girl I dated had the same name as one ex, and the next one that I am going on a date with tomorrow has the same name as a different ex! weird right

Not sure that the name would be a big deal, but.....

After making plans for my 2nd marriage I realized that we had picked the same day as my first marriage... Now... Do we change our plans just to avoid this day? ... or do we ignore it and let me keep the same wedding anaversery?

that's not that bad at all... real question is...would you date somebody with same name as your mom or sister?!

I don't see why not. Also saves from those moments when you use the wrong na....WAIT, scratch that last bit.

I dated a few with the same first name, none with the same full name...one had the same initials as another though with the same first name and middle name to boot. Stacey Lynn.

Both of them were full on psychos though. Dated both in my teens, may have played into them a few years later though.

The first just wanted sex all the time when we were in public, even when it would be too noticed. I could never 'do-it'...it was always too exposed and too public...when alone she wanted to do her homework and study the bible. Yeah odd.

The counterpart of her name was frisky...we messed around all night...just about everything imagined other than intercourse....couldn't because no protection, yet she wanted me too (My mom was a OB/GYN nurse at the time...unprotected sex with a stranger I wasn't doing this time) but everything else happened, I thought she would be my next girlfriend, we had a lot of fun at that party. She was music performer, piano and vocals and even sang to me and it was so ackward. The next day she told me she had to break our date because she was doing a gig with an accomplished guitarist in our area (this accomplished guy was a friend of a friend and not accomplished but a freaking player, he was really great looking and very very rich parents like her's).

The funniest part of that was he taped it and played it to the music dept guys a few days later, I wasn't in the music dept, but I knew a few of them and that was how I met her.

Most of them were freaking kids at the time and it was so insane. The tape was hardly visible but you got the audio and some shadows on the tv just fine. I was thinking at the time I was so smart...now I should have done it like Nike says.

I drifted out of that crowd, but during the time that same guy would bring up "Hey it's Stacey!" anytime she passed him.

Of course....as long as everything else was different. People break up because they are not compatible and then most go out and find someone very similar to their ex to become their next ex.

I see it as a bonus if the new one has the same name as the old one.

Even more so if the new one has the same name as the sister of the old one.

Sure. And when she turns out to be a fvcking mental case like the other one, I can say "Fvck, all you Debbies are the same!!"

Debbies do have a propensity to being psycho.

I wonder if there has been a study on it?
