No freakin' way. ISSUES

No way. Never, ever.

It's basically saying "I suck at life and am content to scrape the barrel to see what is left"

Believe it or not, some people have encountered very bad life circumstances. Try to be more understanding.

Most women are hard to deal with anyway, I don't need all the PTSD going on to complicate things.

No. You are a product of your choices in life. Just like I choose not to be with a woman who has made such poor decisions in life. that's scraping the barrel there, I certainly wouldn't do it.

I would, but it would take some soul searching and a lot of thought before I would go for it. Abused women carry a whole lifetime's worth of unique, intense emotional pain and frustration, and it would mean a particularly significant emotional commitment on my part for me to get involved, even if it was a short-term relationship.

This is a sad thread. We treat men and women like sides of beef; we're always looking for the young, hot-looking people, when there are a lot of non-young, non-hot people who have a lot of love to give as well. In all honesty, this is due to simple supply-and-demand: the more desparate you are, the less picky you will be.

I'm reminded of a Family Guy episode where Quagmire says "Fat chicks need love too, but they gotta PAY!" Sound theory, actually.

WTF are you talking about? Most of the posts here point out that they wouldn't do it because of the potential emotional/psychological issues.

..and low self-esteem. That is almost guaranteed to be bundled.

For real. If that doesn't singal HUGE red flag, I don't know what would.

"Hi, I'm spidey. I've been married 5 times with three kids. Plus I'm a raging alcoholic and drug abuser...don't mind the time I spent a few years in a mental ward! I'm a victum of cricumstance!"

Women answer "oh, I can fix you!!!!!! True love!"

Seriously people, if you can't see this as a "bad idea" then I don't know what to say.

Some get there to get away from abuse, other because they are unable to pay rent.

Opinions?

(My experience: she first claimed that she's single, then she told me she's separated, and months later that she lived in shelter to get away from husband. So at the time it didn't matter to me. If I was told all that at once, I don't know whether it would maker difference or not.)

r u freaking nuts? it doesnt matter if she's from a shelter or your next door neighbor.

if it's just for the sex, then sure.. bang away.

but if u think this will be something more and last... NOPE
