Good lord, of course not. I'd buy my kid a basketball hoop and a basketball, or maybe a pair of hiking boots or a bicycle. That's how I played as a kid, and that's how I would expect my kids to play.

Weird. I just tried it in Mozilla on XP, and get source too. IE displays the page.
