I'd get it if I have enough room and my suitemates aren't the type that break funitures. Looks pretty decent and it definitely feels good to eat on a real dining table.

I'm going to go look at it as soon as is feasible. Emailed the owner, she lives about 10 miles from here.

Looks like a good deal to me. It looks like you are going to have a nice first place. My first place was a little more spartan. My roommates built a coffee table out of leftover decking material. It was strong enough for the bachelor party strippers to dance on. Well that was a long time ago, you make me feel old. Ah the good old days.

probably not. my first apt, i usually kept an eye open for ppl who moved out holding moving sales. thats where we got out stuff. $15 couch. $30 dinner table. we got lawnchairs from kmart or something for $5 each. yeah it was ghetto, but it held up. and at the end of the year, we sold the stuff for pretty much how much we got it for. i think that table might be hard to move. but that might just be becuz i'm a cheap ass. ;)

Too traditional. For a college student in a dorm, get a tall round table and put 4 barstools around it. Add a napkin holder, salt and pepper shaker, and a few menus stolen from your local Chili's. Or, buy some lawn furniture. Get a set with an umbrella. Have some fun before you settle down and get married.

If you were interested in buying one anyway, then by all means go for it! Target/Walmart/KMart would charge $150-$200 for the same thing.

pic doesn't load for me.
:(

edit: pic loads now. We carry something very similar to that at kmart. In fact, i want to say we just had it on sale. For $100, sounds like a steal to me
