I think it's cool that they are trying to bring back a full-sized 5-seat convertible, but for my money I would probably get something a little smaller and more agile. Convertibles are impractical anyway, so they might as well be 2-seaters.
it's a tossup for me between the 96 SS or the new marauder.. do i get a brand new FORD for 25k+?!?! or buy an awesome 7 yr old chevy for 16-20k depending on the condition? i just wish they still made the SS new.. i'd definitely pay $25k for that car... esp if it had the LS1
Initially I thought it would be fun to have a 'cop car' lookalike, just to see the reaction of people in front of me as I drove down the road (especially in a bright white or dark blue/black government look). But the convertible top would blow this idea out of the water. I've heard that this car brings back what was bad/wrong in the 70's & 80's, but I guess that's why I'm attracted to it. A car weighing 2+ tons that can move just as quick as the smaller econobox ricers out there, while still carrying 5 people comfortably.

Exactly what I was thinking...though fathers of 3 kids should be able to have their fun too...
