Would you buy this and how much would you pay?

I would probably risk it. No stupid add-ons or obvious signs of abuse.

It'd be great to take a look at the air filter, coolant, and smell the oil before bidding if possible.

I can do all those things. I'll be checking it out today/tomorrow, ideally it'll fire up as they have a key to it and are willing to let you try and even jump if the battery is dead from sitting.

Oh yea, you must tow it away as well, which I thought was odd...

Check the air filter as it will give you an idea of overall maintenance.

You might try taking the VIN to a dodge dealer and see if they can look anything up on it.

Smell the oil... 'old' smell is ok, 'gas' smell is not.

Open the radiator cap, make sure there's no sludge/milkshake looking stuff inside.

Start when engine is cold, listen for knocking/rattling. Ideally you would let it warm up and drive it a bit.

I'll definitely try to test all of those... that being considered, if I don't find any major glaring issues, what would be your "all in" after the 10% buyer premium?

No idea, what's the overall private party value? I would guess ~$10k, if that's the case I personally wouldn't pay more than $5k after everything.

Repos are very hit or miss, in my experience... A car doesn't just get randomly repo'd out of the blue, so you can assume that this was driven for at least 2-3 months while the owner knew it would be taken.

Often times these types of people blame "the bank" and try to run the car into the ground.

10K would be about right for the vehicle give or take of course. I was thinking 5K for the exact same reason. Worst comes to worst, it would seem impossible to have to get out of it for less than that.

gotta be carefull with fee's if you paid won the auction at 5k your looking at like about another 950 in fees and taxes. just know what your gonna pay and leave run in your bidding for the extra's like that. at 6k i think the truck is worth it if the miles are ok and the truck is clean. i can already see the passenger door as a massive dent that would probly require finding a new door. but the rest of the truck is nice i say if it pans out after looking at it go for it!
