Hose A Banks?

Where did these commercials come from anyway?

Christ, I can't even remember the last time I bought a suit.

you mean Jos A Banks? Sure. Pretty much on par, if not a little better, than Men's Warehouse. Men Warehouse is can be hit or miss, so it is not saying that much.

bought 3 suits from Jos. A Bank through one of their "deals". got mismeasured, had the suits tailored by the store, and then they charged me for the alterations. i bitched and moaned about it but they didn't back down. i'll never shop there again.

I would think JoS A. Bank's suits not nearly Plain enough for the Amish...

If my life goes according to my grand plan, I will never buy nor wear a suit again.

No. But I am a bit of a suit snob, so take that for what it's worth.

Outlets are the way to go. I have some nice looking suits I got for $100. I only use them maybe 2-3 times a year, but they have held up nice.

Never had a problem with Jos A Banks suits. Bought 5 or 6 of them in the past year from their sales and I wear suits at least a couple times a week.

I also love the Travelers collection shirts... sweet sweet no wrinkles.

I had the same experience with the one suit I got from them. I'd rather buy from an outlet or Nordstrom Rack and then get it altered now should I need another suit.

I'm pissed off that they keep airing commercials, primarily because the closest Jos. A Banks to me is 180 miles away. I'm not driving 6 hours roundtrip for cheap suits dammit.

Well....they are not that cheap....they say stuff like 70% off, but the MSRP is pretty high to begin with... or you have to buy more than one. in the end, yeah, it's a decent deal, but not the deal of a lifetime....

Hose A Banks? No no no, you have to pronounce it slowly and with a grandiose inflection in your voice like on their commercials: JOSEph Ay Banks!

i used to wear suits 5 days/ week. during that time, I bought a few from JAB. You get what you pay for - $99? it will feel like a $99 suit.

If you don't know the difference, knock yourself out and buy one, but I would wait for sales at Dillards/Macy's - just talk to the guys in Men's suits & they will call you in advance of their sales - you come in and choose & they will hold it for you for sale day.

Never heard of them... then again, I'm not from your country:).

I'm short as shit and found out that the only suits that fit me are the ones from Banana Republic's Monogram line. Fits like a glove and doesn't look like a dress.

H&M is a reasonable alternative - slightly longer though, I believe. Last one I bought was a 36R (their -Rs are everyone else's -Ss), then I put on some bulk...

Banana Republic's suits have an awful feel to them. If you're looking for something off the rack that fits you, you can do a lot better. If you want to spend about the same money, check out this Ebay store. Don't buy based on size if you aren't sure of what fits you. Instead, get measured, or measure yourself, and contact the seller and ask him what would fit. You just need to give him your measurements, what style you want, colors, etc. He'll find something, and it'll be at your price point and of higher quality than the dept/mall stores offer at the same price.

I'm definitely not a shill for that store. I did, however, get married in a suit from him. Some of my groomsmen also purchased from him.
