So I see a macbook pro and craigslist for a pretty good price, but it doesn't come with box or cd's or receipt.

I call the guy up and ask, and he's like that stuff (box + CD + receipt) got stolen from my car (haha yea rite), and he offers to lower the price.

Its an good deal, but I just can't bring myself to buy a stolen laptop.

$1,100 for 2gHz CD Macbook Pro
2GB ram.

I will admit I am tempted, but I won't do it.

I'd do it. It already been stolen and will be sold to someone else anyway, might as well get a good deal. Just hope it wasn't stolen from one of your coworkers :).

wtf? how can he sell something if it was stolen from him? He offered a lower price than what... his asking price? I'm confused.

Oh wait, you mean the CD's and box and receipt got stolen? but not the computer? But of course.

I wouldn't because who knows what's been done to it? If it was a snatch and grab, it might have been thrown around & need a new hard drive or superdrive. That + ethics (it would make me feel funny every once & a while) would make me pass.
